There are millions of shelter animals in the U.S. and each year about 2.7 million of those get adopted. The same amount are euthanized. Million others just wait for adopters. I have been donating photography time and expertise to numerous animal shelters and rescue groups. I am determined to change the way we photograph shelter dogs, and the way we perceive them. These photos aim at giving shelter dogs their dignity back, and celebrating the beginning of their new life: a life of care, love, comfort.
