PIT BULL FLOWER POWER EXHIBIT

BROOKLYN, NY - OCTOBER 28-29 2017
Saturday October 28th, 1-7pm
& Sunday October 29th, 1-5pm

Expanding on my Pit Bull Flower Power photo series, this 2-day event coincides with Pit Bull Awareness Day (Oct. 28). This immersive art exhibit incorporates photography, never-seen-before paintings, installations and a virtual reality experience.

For the past decades, pit bulls have been demonized by society, often portrayed as hellhounds. This has sealed the fate of countless dogs who face prejudice, systematic abuse and death in shelters around the world. In America alone, hundreds of thousands of pit bulls-type dogs are euthanized every year.

The exhibit invites the visitor to question our relationship to shelter pit bulls, from the moment these anonymous and abused dogs enter the shelter system, to the soulful Flower Power portraits that celebrate their individuality.
